Williams Barn

The Williams Barn ride features a restored colonial barn in Groton. The Williams Barn was built in 1840 as a dairy barn and is typical of the hand hewn post and beam construction of that era. The barn is located on ninety-three acres of conservation land with access to many miles of beautiful woodland trails.

We will also ride through Fitch Woods, McClains Woods, and Wharton Plantation. We will also visit a small part of the abandoned Nashua, Acton & Boston Railroad grade.

The starting point is the William’s Barn at #160 Chicopee Road in Groton. Heading west on Route 119 from Groton Center, bear right onto Hollis Street just past the Town Hall (on your left). This road will turn into Chicopee Row and you will pass Groton Cemetery on your right. From here it is approximately 1/2 mile to the William’s Barn. Watch carefully, it will come up quickly on your right.
