This route features the Cranberry Bogs and Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle, as well as Thanksgiving Forest and Heart Pond in Chelmsford. We will explore many of the off road trails in GBFSP and ride through Thanksgiving Forest along Mill Pond. After exploring South Chelmsford, the AdventuRide 1 route returns to Heart Pond. The AdventuRide 2 route continues into Westford for a quick ride along a “Westford Scenic Road” before returning to Heart Pond. WARNING: There is an ice cream stand at GBFSP and we may be forced to stop and consume some. Please bring a few dollars just in case! We will meet at Heart Pond Beach in South Chelmsford. The parking area is just off Route 27 on Pond Street. If you are going south on Route 27, Pond Street is on the right just past Landry’s Automotive. Pond Street from the Parkerville Road side is sometimes impassable. Click on the map below to get directions from MapQuest.
