Mark your calendars! Tuesday, November 16, 2004 is the AdventuRides End of Year BASH. Our Spring riders never got a party, so you are all invited too. We will meet at Carole's house at 9:30 AM for our final bike/hike of the Fall season (everyone is invited) and then we will return to Carole's house to eat, drink, and be merry.
The highlight of this adventure is a hike up Gibbet Hill overlooking Groton Center. This property was recently saved from the developers by Steven Webber. There are beautiful views of Groton Center below the hill as well as a sweeping view of the Central Massachusetts mountains. There are even the ruins of an old castle at the top!
Ask us about AdventuRambles, our free, drop-in, Winter adventure series. We will be walking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, or what ever type of "ing" strikes our fancy and suits the weather conditions.
The starting point for this ride / BASH is Carole’s house at 11 Otter Lane in Groton. From Littleton Common, go west on Route 119 to Groton Center. Take a sharp right at the big white church on your right (Route 40) and continue east until you get to Lost Lake Drive. Take a right and then the next right onto Otter Lane.
