Delaney Pond

The Delaney Pond route starts at the Delaney Complex WMA parking lot at the intersection of Harvard Road and Kirkland Drive in Stow, Massachusetts.

This ride features the Delaney Complex Wildlife Management Area in Boxboro, Stow, Bolton and Harvard. The Delaney Complex is a flood control project from the late 1960s.

We cross Elizabeth Brook several time and ride along the extensive wetlands. We also ride to Stow Center along stone wall lined roads with a stop at Nancy’s Airfield Cafe at the Minute Man Airfield. If the weather cooperates, we will ride off road around Delaney Pond.

The map below shows the starting point. Clicking on the map will take you to MapQuest for directions from your location. From Littleton, go south on 495 to exit 28. Turn left at the end of the ramp and then take the next left onto Codman Hill Road. At the stop sign at the T intersection, turn left onto Stow Road. Follow Stow Road under 495 and take the second left onto Finn Road. Finn Road will turn into Harvard Road in Stow, follow this around the pond (bear right at T intersection) to the parking lot.

Note: Delaney Pond is much bigger than it appears on the MapQuest maps and the paved parking lot is right on the pond.
